Feeling Better

Eli seems to be pretty much over his bug, in time to go back to daycare tomorrow. All things considered it wasn't too bad - only one sheet change, two diaper blow-outs, and two baths. His appetite still isn't quite back yet, but he's been drinking well and acting pretty normal today.

We were at a political event today with some of the neighborhood babies (11, 12, 13, and 14 months). It was fun to see everyone, although since it was naptime no one was particulary interactive today. Eddie and Eli pretty much ignored each other today (see pic). One girl who is a month younger, and a boy one month older are already walking. Everyone has more hair than him. All are bigger than him. None of them seemed particularly verbal yet. It's just interesting to see how they all compare since they are all so close in age. Eli has always waited until the later end of "average" for most of his developments, so I'm pretty sure he'll catch up at his own pace (although given his gene pool he may have to get used to being the smallest). I doubt whether or not he starts walking early will have any great bearing on future college athletic scholarships.
