Party, Parade, and Potty

The end of Daylight Savings (Falling Back) has always one of my favorite days of the year, right up there with Christmas and Election Day. Sadly, those with children don't get to observe it, when the wee ones wake up in the wee hours and we miss out on the extra hour of sleep. Hopefully Eli will adjust to the time change quickly.
It's been a weekend of Kodak moments. Yesterday I went out and bought Eli a potty chair. He got familiar with it and carried it around the house and sat on it with his pants on. Today, he did the same, and said he wanted his pants down. He sat for an hour reading and nothing happened, but he had a good bare-bum orientation to the process. Then before lunch he sat on it again, and lo and behold, he peed.
Today was also our neighborhood Halloween Parade and our friends' huge neighborhood party (including moonbounce and fortune tellers). Eli rode in his frog costume in the wagon, and had lots of fun with all his friends and the costumed dogs. He really had a blast in his first moonbounce. See more pics of the party fun on Eddie's Blog.
The costumes were all just too adorable, and the parade stroller decorating contest was over the top as usual. One of this year's prize nominees was a train engine with bubbles spewing out of the smoke stack.
